UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam on Death Anniversary

Leaders Reflect on the Legacy of the Former President and Renowned Scientist

Lucknow, July 27 2024 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid heartfelt tribute to former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary, praising his monumental contributions to India’s space and defense research.

In a post on X, Adityanath described Kalam as a “great scientist, Missile Man, and Bharat Ratna” whose achievements in Indian space and defense sectors will forever be remembered. “Humble tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary,” Adityanath wrote. “He will always be remembered for the milestones achieved in the field of Indian space and defense research.”

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also honored Kalam’s legacy. “For the success of any mission, creative leadership is essential. Humble tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ji, the renowned scientist and former president, who inspired a new direction for the youth,” Maurya posted on X. He emphasized that Kalam’s principles and work will continue to guide future generations.

The Samajwadi Party, Uttar Pradesh’s main opposition party, also paid tribute to Kalam through its official X handle. “Humble tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ji, former president of India and great scientist, on his death anniversary,” the party’s post read.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who served as the President of India from 2002 to 2007, passed away on July 27, 2015, in Shillong, Meghalaya. Born on October 15, 1931, in Tamil Nadu, Kalam remains celebrated for his contributions to science and his inspirational role as a leader.
