T20I: India Defeats Sri Lanka in Final Match; Clinches Series 3-0

In cricket, India defeated Sri Lanka in the final T20 International, sweeping the three-match series. After comfortably winning the first two games, India approached the third match at Pallekele with high confidence, while Sri Lanka aimed to improve their performance. India batted first and posted 137 runs for 9 wickets on a tricky track that favored spinners.

Sri Lanka, who had been cruising smoothly at one stage, faltered in the death overs and ended up at 137 for 8 wickets, thanks to Indian spinners, which led the match into a super over. Sri Lanka could only manage 2 runs in the super over. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav hit a four on the very first ball to complete the 3-run target. Washington Sundar earned the Player of the Match title, while Suryakumar Yadav was named Player of the Series.

The teams will now move to Colombo for a series of three One Day Internationals, with Rohit Sharma leading the Indian team.
