Chandigarh, 3rd, May, 2024 :The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, former President of Haryana Congress, and in charge of Uttarakhand, candidate from the Sirsa Lok Sabha seat for Congress (India Alliance) Kumari Selja said that whatever promises Congress makes, it fulfills them, unlike Modi, who doesn’t leave slogans. With a Congress government, all farmers’ debts will be forgiven, and MSP will be given legal status to protect farming. Daily wages under MGNREGA for laborers will be increased to 400 rupees. Selja addressed a public meeting in the village of Bosti in the Tohana Assembly constituency on Friday. She has said that today’s fight is to save the constitution; anyone accused of corruption faces agencies’ wrath, which ceases if they join the Bjp, making them seem innocent. She said that the poor are ridiculed; giving five kilograms of wheat doesn’t alleviate poverty.

This government has not done any good for farmers, the poor, laborers, or the youth. Unemployment is high, and addiction is on the rise.the people to vote carefully, keeping in mind the future of children. She said that this time, Selja is at your service; Selja must win the election and be sent to Parliament. She said that farmers’ protests signal a deep crisis in the agricultural sector. The response of the BJP/NDA government has been insensitive and cruel. Farmers don’t get fair and profitable prices for their produce, nor do producers have enough avenues to sell their produce. Export controls have weakened farmers. The condition of agricultural laborers is even worse; work availability is irregular, and wages have been stagnant for about four years. She said that if the Congress government is formed, according to the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission, the government will legally guarantee the Minimum Support Price declared by the government. An Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission will be established as a statutory body, and the MSP owed to farmer-sellers at procurement centers and APMC will be digitally deposited directly into farmers’ bank accounts.

Congress will appoint a permanent commission on agricultural finance, which will report on the limits of agricultural loans and the need for loan relief from time to time. Crop insurance will be made suitable for the field and the farmer. Premiums will be collected from farmers according to the insurance amount, and all claims will be settled within 30 days. Congress will establish retail markets for farmers in large villages and small towns so that farmers can bring their produce and sell it to consumers. On this occasion, former Finance Minister Paramveer Singh, former Minister Atar Singh Saini, former MLA Sardar Nishan Singh, Baljinder Singh, Randhir Singh, Surender Lenga, former Chairman Krishna Nangli, Jaypal Singh Lali, Ramesh Dangra, Baldev Singh Dewal, Mahant Bholenath, Krishna Puniya, Harpal Singh Budaniya, and others were present.
