Noida Authority takes decisive action to combat encroachment

Noida, 24 April, 2024- In a proactive move to combat encroachment within the notified area of the Noida Authority, a significant step was taken on April 23, 2024. Under Work Circle – 9, the Authority convened a village meeting aimed at addressing the encroachments perpetrated by various land mafias on the land rightfully acquired and occupied by the Noida Authority. In a joint effort with the police force, the Noida Authority executed a decisive operation against land mafias and conducted demolition activities on Khasra No. 581 of Gulavali. The encroacher had erected a structure using garter slabs on land belonging to the authority, which was promptly demolished. This action liberated approximately 800 square meters of land, valued at an estimated Rs 2 crore, from encroachment. Notably, this parcel of land is integral to the alignment of a 30-meter-wide road connecting Sector-163 and 161. The encroachment had impeded the construction progress of this vital road link.
