Faridabad , 4 August , 2024 : Resident Welfare Forum Sector-16A Faridabad in collaboration with Rotary Club of Faridabad, Tulips Golden Lions Club, Faridabad (old) District-A-1, PRANA Wellness Centre 623, Sector 16A, Faridabad organised its first tree plantation drive on Hariyali Amavasya on Sunday at Community Centre, Sector 16A, Faridabad from 9:30 am onwards.
Ajay Gaur, former Political Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister was present as the Chief Guest in the drive. On this occasion, Ajay Gaur took forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign by planting 31 saplings and stressed the importance of nurturing trees like one’s own children, as they provide shelter, fruits, oxygen and many other benefits in the future.
He encouraged the community to adopt natural trees like neem, peepal and banyan, which give continuous oxygen and should be taken proper care of. More than 30 residents of Sector 16A along with Rotary Club and RWF team members actively participated in this drive. RWA President Rajiv Girdhar also planted saplings and pledged to ensure their proper care by the team members. Speaking to the media, Girdhar revealed the discussion with Ajay Gaur on various improvement topics for the city.
He said that soon funds will be provided for welfare projects and confirmed that road construction near the community center will start the next day to make the city more clean and green. On this occasion, Biru Bansal, Akhil Kalia, Narini Gupta, RS Chaudhary and many other dignitaries along with the members of Rotary Club and RWF team were present to make this drive successful.
