Congress Victory Assured by Worker Zeal; BJP’s Misgovernance and Public Support for Congress Highlighted

Faridabad, Chandigarh  August 4 2024 : The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister and MP Kumari Selja inaugurated the Padayatra in Old Faridabad from Sector 19-28 Dividing Road against the anti-people policies of the BJP government through Congress Sandesh Yatra on Sunday. The yatra started near Pooja Furniture, Sector 19-28 Dividing Road in Old Faridabad and concluded at Chandiwali Dharamshala (Badmohalla) via Agrawal Dharamshala, Pathwari Temple, Agarsen Chowk, Anaj Mandi Chowk, and Bajaj Sweets.

A huge crowd of workers gathered in Kumari Selja’s march. The workers showered flowers to welcome MP Kumari Selja and raised slogans enthusiastically. The march passed through markets and was welcomed at various places. Thousands of workers participated in the march, displaying their enthusiasm.

On this occasion, Kumari Selja, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and Incharge of Uttarakhand, said that the zeal of thousands of workers can be seen in the march despite the heat. She said that if the government had wanted, it could have taken Faridabad to the top in terms of development, but it has made Baba Farid’s city number one in pollution. The smart city has been turned into a slum city. She said that Rahul Gandhi traveled ten thousand kilometers to deliver a message, and following that, we have come among you today to convey his message across the state. She said our workers know how to struggle even in the heat.

Encouraging the workers, she said that your sweat will not go in vain. She said that we have chosen the path of struggle to get justice for the people and will work to oust the BJP from power in the upcoming assembly elections. She said that the BJP government has been making decisions over the past ten years that have harmed and troubled the public instead of benefiting them. Kumari Selja said although the BJP has been in charge of the state for the past ten years, today we have to search for development. When we go looking for development, we see piles of garbage and filth everywhere; no development is visible. Unemployed youth are seen struggling on the roads. Farmers are seen raising their demands for their rights, and they face batons. Women are seen crying out due to the impact of inflation.

The poor and laborers are seen suffering. Shopkeepers and traders are seen troubled by the government system. Education and health services are in shambles. Law and order have deteriorated to such an extent that no one feels safe. There is an atmosphere of fear in the state. Government offices have vacant positions, and people are struggling to get work done. The portal system has proven to be a drama. When BJP leaders talk about development, it seems surprising.

Kumari Selja said that we have started a struggle to secure the rights of the state’s people and will not stop until the BJP is ousted from power. She said that to convey the message of Congress top leadership, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge, to every person, we will travel across Haryana. The journey has been started to expose the failures of the BJP, and seeing the enthusiasm of the public, it can be said that the time for change has come. People are eagerly waiting for the assembly elections. When the Congress government is formed in the state, work will be done in the interest of the public. Inflation and unemployment will be controlled. Jobs will be provided to young men and women.

An MSP guarantee law will be enacted for crop purchases to fulfill the demands of farmers. Schemes will be launched for laborers and the poor to improve their standard of living. Education and health services will be improved. Women will be relieved from inflation. The elderly will be respected. Work will be done for all classes, keeping 36 communities together. We will focus on development work instead of dividing society based on caste and religion. We will bring a wave of development in the state. Kumari Selja said that the people of the state, who have made up their minds for a change in power, will see their hopes fulfilled, leading to the state’s prosperity.

On this occasion, Kumari Selja was accompanied by Baljeet Kaushik, Rajrani Poonam former MLA, Yogesh Dhingra, Sanjeev Chaudhary, Rakesh Tanwar, Satyaveer Dagar, Vinod Kaushik, Parag Sharma, Chunnu Rajput, Jitendra Chandelia, Parag Gautam, Vandana Singh, Sunita Phagana, Sonu Chaudhary, Dr. S.L.
