MSME forum launch protest against the model of government policy for regularization of industries in non-confirming areas

With the current procedure of regularization, the government has made a mockery of hardships the industry are facing : R.C. Chaudhary

Faridabad, 26 June , 2024- The issues of industries that are located in the non-confirming areas in Haryana have been deprived of all the schemes of central as well as state government. It has been a long outstanding demand of the industries that the manufacturing unit located in these non-confirming areas should be treated at par with those in authorized sectors. Unconfirmed reports said that the government has decided to regularize these industries now. However, said R.C. Chaudhary, president All India Forum of MSME, said that the rules prescribed under the provision of regularizing are so difficult and impractical that none of the industries have applied for it till now.
Chaudhary said that 70 percent of the industries in Faridabad are running in unauthorized areas. Out of these there are hardly 5 percent of industries located on 70 feet road. This fact is well known to the government also because the rules have been framed after getting the survey of the industries done. The Survey was also done by the industrial bodies of respective areas, which was submitted to the government. It means that the government is making a mockery of the problems faced by the industry by asking industries located at 70 feet road to apply for the same. He said that the industry has taken pains by doing the survey itself and has waited for six years to get the problem solved. However, the government has left the industry at the same place where it was six years back.
The president of MSME forum said that the industrial associations that boast of representing the industry are actually giving statements for media only. Had they all done a united effort, how could the government been so harsh to the industries making mockery of them. He said that the entrepreneurs themselves are not serious about their own interest. They have neither extended their support to the government officials during the survey, nor have they submitted any representation with the government. He said that the industries have to join hands and address their problems with the government from a united platform. He called an immediate review of the industrial policy that has restricted the advantages of the government policies to the industries that are located in authorized sectors only.
