Faridabad, May 16,2024: Mahendra Pratap Singh, the candidate of congress for parliamentary elections from Faridabad, met the farmers staging protest and assured them that it would be top most priority for him to get a passing cut made at Mohna on the green expressway, once he wins the election. He assured the villagers that if he is unsuccessful in getting this done, he would be resigning from his position of Member of Parliament.
Singh said that the protests are continuing for the last 215 days at Mohna, without having noticed by any of the leaders of BJP. It is a matter of shame for BJP that in spite of having its government in center as well as in state, the government is not trying to understand the pains of common men. In order to let these proud leaders of BJP realise their actual worth, the power of vote is the only way that the people have to exercise, he further added.
Mahendra Pratap Singh was addressing the gathering at Mohna falling under Prithla assembly constituency during his canvassing. There were heads of 40 villages present on the occasion presided over by Ishwar Nambardar while the stage was anchored by Satbir Singh Manager. After Mohna, Mahendra Pratap addressed another huge rally at village Atali. He was accompanied by former MLA Prithla, Raghuvir Singh Tewatia. Singh was welcomed by the representatives of 36 biradaris by tying turban. The representatives of these 36 Biradaris announced their open support to Congress. Later the congress leader addressed election rallies at Bukharpur, Narhawli, Chainsa, Jawan, Fatehpur Billoch, Panheda Kalan and Nariyala and called upon the people to vote for congress only.
