Faridabad, May 25:On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar delivered an inspiring address, stating that Ahilyabai Holkar was not merely a ruler, but a living embodiment of Indian culture, justice, dharma, and service. During her reign, she set new standards in public welfare, religious revival, and social harmony — which continue to serve as guiding lights today. Known for her piety, sense of justice, altruism, and national dedication, she reformed unjust laws and taxation systems to ensure justice for the people.
Minister Gurjar drew a parallel between her ideals and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting how the abrogation of Article 370 ensured equal rights for all citizens. Modi’s government has replaced colonial-era laws with three new ones: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam — focused on delivering justice, not punishment. He also mentioned ongoing reforms like “Uniform Civil Code” and “One Nation, One Election.” Under Modi’s leadership, India is progressing towards self-reliance and reclaiming its stature as a global guru.
The BJP Faridabad organized a grand seminar at the ‘Atal Kamal’ office in Sector-15 to commemorate the 300th birth anniversary of one of India’s greatest women rulers, Punyashlok Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. Union Minister Gurjar, along with senior party leaders, paid floral tributes at her portrait.

Gurjar highlighted Ahilyabai’s contributions to temple restoration, construction of ghats, dharamshalas, and various public welfare works across the country, praising her vision and religious dedication. Her life is a role model for all. Inspired by her ideals, Prime Minister Modi is promoting campaigns like “Swachh Bharat” and “Swasth Bharat.” Historical decisions like the caste census are ensuring benefits for all sections of society. Initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat are turning the dream of a healthy, educated, and secure India into reality. Direct benefits are reaching people through Jan Dhan accounts. Connectivity through national highways, railways, airports, and fiber networks is being strengthened. The central government under Modi has empowered all sections of society.
State Disciplinary Committee President Neera Tomar called Ahilyabai a living symbol of Indian womanhood. She stated that Ahilyabai not only achieved excellence in governance but also redefined the role of women in society. Her life was devoted to society, culture, and the nation.
