President Murmu Greets Nation on Sarhul Festival Celebrations

Message highlights harmony with nature and calls for sustainable development rooted in tribal traditions

New Delhi, March 21: President Droupadi Murmu extended warm wishes to citizens on the occasion of Sarhul, expressing hope that the festival inspires a deeper commitment toward environmental balance and sustainable development.

In her message, the President emphasised the cultural and ecological significance of Sarhul, which is celebrated predominantly by tribal communities to mark the arrival of spring and the worship of nature. She noted that the festival reflects a timeless bond between humans and the environment.
