Over 23 lakh new workers were enrolled under the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme in May

Over 23 lakh new workers have been enrolled under the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme in May this year.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment reported that out of the total 23 lakh employees, more than 11 lakh belong to the age group of up to 25 years. Additionally, the net enrolment of female members in May was recorded at 4.47 lakh.
