Ambala– Sudesh Kataria, Chief Media Advisor to Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Development and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. Speaking at a public gathering in Ambala on Saturday, organized by the Constitution Honour Committee under the leadership of social worker Dr. Kapoor Singh, Kataria accused the Congress of repeatedly attacking the existence and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
He claimed that the Congress went to extreme lengths to prevent Babasaheb from entering politics, violating all democratic norms. However, under the BJP government, Babasaheb’s voice has reached every household, and today the Congress party is nothing more than a “living corpse” in politics.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including SC-ST Commission Vice-Chairman Virendra Badgujjar, Sant Veer Singh Hitkari Ji Maharaj from Bulandshahr, 1008 Sant Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyan Nath Ji of Nirakari Jagriti Mission Khatoli (Ambala), and members of the SC Sarpanch Association.
Sudesh Kataria declared that the Indian Constitution is a symbol of national pride. He credited Union Minister Manohar Lal, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with ensuring respect and equality for the most marginalized communities during his tenure as Haryana Chief Minister. He added that current Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is carrying this legacy forward, which has made the Haryana development model widely appreciated across the country.
He emphasized that initiatives like “No Parchi, No Kharchi” (no bribes, no influence) and merit-based recruitment have resulted in thousands of Dalit youths securing government jobs. Since 2014, when Manohar Lal became Chief Minister, he has taken significant steps to uplift the last person in the social queue, particularly benefiting the Dalit community.
Sudesh Kataria noted that under the BJP’s “triple-engine government,” Dalit representation in politics has increased. With folded hands, he greeted women, elders, and youth in the gathering and credited the Dalit community’s substantial contribution to BJP’s third consecutive landslide victory in the state.
*Housing for the Poor under PM Awas Yojana*
Kataria also shared that Prime Minister Modi has entrusted Manohar Lal with the additional responsibility of Housing and Urban Development along with Power. Under the PM Awas Yojana, a target of building one crore homes has been set. Urban poor families are being provided plots at subsidized rates, while 100-square-yard plots are being given in village panchayats to the needy.
He further mentioned the *PM Surya Ghar Yojana*, aimed at installing solar panels in poor households to eliminate electricity bills.
In a conversation with the media, Kataria said the era of dynasty politics is over and a new era of respect-driven politics has begun in Haryana. The BJP-led government has ended family-based political dominance and introduced transparent governance, driven by the Antyodaya Upliftment mission, merit-based systems, and digital access to welfare schemes.
He concluded by saying the “Manohar Model” of governance has now become a benchmark for other states across India.
