New Delhi : The Akashteer air defence system marks a historic leap in India’s self-reliant military capabilities, emerging as a cornerstone of the nation’s modern warfare strategy. Designed and developed entirely with indigenous technology and free from foreign components or satellite dependencies, Akashteer is believed to be the world’s first fully operational AI-driven war-cloud system. Its recent deployment and success in combat conditions underscore India’s technological maturity and strategic foresight in aerial defence.
During a high-intensity conflict scenario, Akashteer played a decisive role in safeguarding Indian airspace, intercepting and neutralising a wide array of airborne threats. These included Pakistani drones, cruise missiles, micro-UAVs, and loitering munitions. Thanks to its real-time autonomous decision-making capabilities, the system executed precision strikes against all incoming projectiles, ensuring zero penetration into Indian territory.
What sets Akashteer apart is its intelligent, fully autonomous operation that minimizes human intervention. By leveraging AI and machine learning algorithms, it automates the detection, tracking, and engagement of hostile targets.
