New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Utkarsh Odisha, Make-in-Odisha Conclave’ at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar this morning. This marks Mr. Modi’s second visit to Odisha this month, following his participation in the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas celebrations on the 9th of January at the same venue.
‘Utkarsh Odisha’ is the flagship Global Investment Summit hosted by the Odisha government, aimed at transforming the state into a leading industrial hub and investment destination in India.
The event also aligns with the larger Purvodaya vision, which seeks to accelerate the development of Eastern India and integrate it into the national growth narrative.
The Conclave will bring together a diverse group of participants, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with senior government officials, global investors, and industry leaders. Their presence highlights the strategic importance of the event in advancing Odisha’s industrial and economic landscape.
The Summit will focus on showcasing Odisha’s immense potential across various sectors, including mining, metals, energy, tourism, textiles, and IT. It is expected to attract significant investments through deliberations on business opportunities, policies, and innovative projects. Odisha has consistently ranked among the top states for ease of doing business and boasts a robust infrastructure, abundant natural resources, and a skilled workforce, making it an attractive destination for domestic and international investors.
In his address, PM Modi is likely to emphasize the central government’s commitment to Odisha’s growth and development. The Prime Minister’s focus on infrastructure expansion, employment generation, and fostering innovation aligns with the state’s vision to become a global industrial powerhouse.
The Conclave is also expected to witness the signing of multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and partnerships between the Odisha government and leading industries. These collaborations aim to boost local employment, enhance industrial capabilities, and promote sustainable development in the region.
As Odisha positions itself as the anchor of the Purvodaya vision, the ‘Utkarsh Odisha, Make-in-Odisha Conclave’ is a testament to the state’s proactive approach in attracting investments and driving inclusive growth.
