CM Yogi Holds Janata Darshan, Orders Swift Action on Public Grievances Across Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Assures Housing, Healthcare and Welfare Support to Eligible Beneficiaries

Lucknow, April 20, 2026: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a public grievance hearing during the ‘Janata Darshan’ programme on Monday, where he met citizens individually, listened to their concerns and directed officials to ensure time bound resolution of complaints across the state.

 

The Chief Minister said that public service is a core responsibility of the government and reiterated that the administration remains committed to serving the large population of  Uttar Pradesh through responsive governance.

He emphasised that the government is focused on ensuring that benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible and needy citizen without delay.

During the interaction, a woman from Bareilly shared her financial difficulties, explaining her livelihood challenges and housing concerns. The Chief Minister directed district officials to extend immediate assistance and ensure that she is covered under the PM SVANidhi Yojana.

Officials were also instructed to consider her eligibility for other welfare support and ensure on ground delivery of benefits.

Several applicants raised demands for housing assistance, following which the Chief Minister reiterated that eligible beneficiaries are being covered under the PMAY-G as well as the state housing scheme, and directed officials to expedite verification and allotment processes.

Some citizens also sought financial aid for medical treatment. The Chief Minister instructed authorities to prepare estimates immediately and submit proposals for government approval, assuring full support for serious medical cases.

Parents who attended the programme raised concerns about their children’s education due to financial hardship. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that no child is forced to discontinue schooling and that necessary coordination is done with educational institutions.

Complaints related to illegal encroachments and police issues were also brought before him, prompting immediate instructions for action to district administration and police officials to resolve matters promptly.

Officials said the grievance redressal system is being strengthened to ensure faster resolution and greater accountability at the local level.

The Janata Darshan programme continues to serve as a direct interface between the Chief Minister and the public, enabling real time feedback and administrative action.The government reiterated its commitment to inclusive welfare delivery and responsive governance through such initiatives aimed at addressing grassroots level issues effectively.
