Bharatiya Janata Party Unveils West Bengal Poll Manifesto with Welfare and Governance Promises

BJP promises financial aid, jobs and stronger law enforcement as it targets change in West Bengal

Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, outlining a series of welfare measures, governance reforms and security-focused initiatives aimed at attracting voters.

The party has promised financial support of ₹3,000 per month for women and unemployed youth, along with a strong push for job creation and economic growth in the state.

It also pledged to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), introduce the 7th Pay Commission within 45 days of coming to power, and expand the reach of central government schemes.

The manifesto places significant emphasis on tackling illegal infiltration and curbing activities such as cattle smuggling. The party also promised strict action against corruption and improvement in law and order.

Releasing the manifesto, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised the current government led by Mamata Banerjee, alleging that the past 15 years of governance have led to public dissatisfaction and fear.

He claimed that the party’s manifesto represents a “roadmap for development” and reflects the aspirations of the people of the state.

Amit Shah highlighted that the BJP has emerged as a strong opposition force in West Bengal and expressed confidence that voters are seeking political change.

He also pointed to governance under Narendra Modi at the national level as a model for development and inclusive growth.

The party aims to kickstart its campaign around the Bengali New Year, projecting its manifesto as a “commitment to trust” and development. BJP leaders expressed optimism about securing a mandate to form the government in the state.
