Last Date for Registration for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 Extended Till 11th October

Students from 2.5 lakh schools will compete in India’s largest innovation movement promoting creativity and self-reliance under Viksit Bharat @2047.

New Delhi, October 7, 2025- The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, has extended the registration deadline for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 — India’s largest student innovation movement — till 11th October 2025.

The initiative aims to bring together students from around 2.5 lakh schools across the nation, encouraging them to explore creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. This is the largest-ever innovation program for students in India’s history, promoting a spirit of collaboration and invention at the grassroots level.

To recognize young innovators, schools will submit their ideas through photos and videos, which will be evaluated by a panel of experts. The top-performing teams will win prizes from a ₹1 crore pool, along with long-term support such as corporate mentorship, resources, and incubation opportunities to develop their ideas further.

Key Highlights of Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025

Students from across India participating in the world’s largest live innovation event
Focus on hands-on, experiential learning, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
Inclusive participation, especially from Aspirational Districts, Tribal, and Remote Regions

This campaign serves as a nationwide call to young minds to dream big, innovate boldly, and play an active role in shaping a developed India by 2047. Every school and every student is encouraged to participate, showcase creativity, and emerge as the innovators of tomorrow.

Participants from Grades 6–12 will form teams to design and develop prototypes addressing real-world challenges under four major national themes:

Vocal for Local – Promoting indigenous crafts, products, and regional entrepreneurship
Atmanirbhar Bharat – Building self-reliant and sustainable solutions
Swadeshi – Encouraging indigenous innovation and traditional knowledge systems
Samriddh Bharat – Creating pathways to prosperity, growth, and sustainability
