BJP Marks Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s 125th Birth Anniversary Across 877 Booths in Faridabad

Faridabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee across all 877 booth-level units in Faridabad on Sunday, paying tribute to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder through district and booth-level programmes.

Addressing the district-level function at Doon Bharti Public School, former MP Sunita Duggal said Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee dedicated his entire life to the unity, integrity and self-respect of the nation, making the supreme sacrifice while upholding national interest. She said the Centre and Haryana governments are carrying forward his ideals of nationalism and “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, with a focus on development, good governance, national security and a self-reliant India.

BJP Faridabad District President Pankaj Poojan Rampal said Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s struggle against Jammu and Kashmir’s separate constitutional status continues to inspire the nation. He described the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A by PM Narendra Modi government as the “true tribute” to Dr. Mookerjee and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to realising the vision of a developed India.

The district-level programme was attended by District GGS Chaudhary Praveen Garg, District VP Bharti Bhakuni, councillor Virender Bhadana (Binde), along with BJP office-bearers and workers.

A separate tribute programme was organised at the Atal Kamal district office under the leadership of District General Secretary Shobhit Arora, where party workers offered floral tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar, Haryana Ministers Vipul Goel and Rajesh Nagar, MLA Dhanesh Adlakha, former Political Secretary to CM Ajay Gaur, Mayor Praveen Joshi, and party office-bearers at the state, district, mandal and booth levels also participated in commemorative events across their respective booths.
