8 july. In a press conference sheel Madhur informed that he has requested the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare 22 july as National Flag Day to be celebrated as a national festival as Tiranga is the most pious symbol of our country, it’s independence, its culture, values , constitution, sacrifices of freedom fighters, aspirations of its people, representing all citizens under its umbrella.
He said that 22 july will be most appropriate as on this day in 1947 the Tiranga in its present existing form was accepted as National Flag for independent India by the Constituent Assembly.
Sheel Madhur said that in the past since he has been clamouring for the cause by sending a number of memorandums to the Prime Minister & also to the President of India & today also he has sent a Request Letter for early declaration.
Former DGP said that for him it’s kind of a patriotic struggle for the honour of Tiranga our national flag & that with people’s support he will make vigorous efforts until the declaration takes place.
Sheel Madhur urged the people to come forward & start celebrating in the honour of Tiranga Diwas 22 july & contribute in strengthening the feelings of patriotism among countrymen, take a vow to keep nation before self , thus enabling the country to become stroger .
