Minister Rajesh Nagar Reviews Fuel Situation in Faridabad; Assures Adequate LPG, PNG Supply, 9 Booked for Illegal Practices Across Haryana

Faridabad: Haryana’s Food and Supplies Minister Rajesh Nagar chaired a high-level review meeting with district officials at Sector-12, Faridabad, to assess the availability of LPG, PNG, and petroleum products in the region. The meeting was attended by DC Ayush Sinha along with senior administrative officers. Representatives from Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum, gas agency operators, and petroleum stakeholders were also present. Officials presented a detailed report on the current supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel across the district. The minister clarified that there is no shortage of gas or fuel in Haryana, and supplies remain completely normal. He warned that certain anti-social elements are spreading false rumours to create panic. He emphasized that such actions will not be tolerated and appealed to the public to rely only on official information and avoid misinformation. The minister further stated that the government is taking strict action against black marketing of gas. So far, FIRs have been registered against 9 individuals across the state, including in Faridabad, and strict monitoring will continue. He directed officials to conduct regular inspections to prevent any irregularities. During the meeting, a proposal to increase the quota of commercial gas from 20% to 50% was also discussed seriously. Nagar said this step would help ensure smoother business operations and improve gas availability in the market. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the minister said that ensuring the availability of essential commodities remains a top priority. He stressed the need for strong coordination between the administration, oil companies, and gas agencies to address any potential issues promptly. The meeting was also attended by DCP Jaivir Rathi, CTM Ankit Kumar, DFSC Kavita Singh, CMO Dr Jayant Ahuja, along with officials from oil companies, department staff, petrol pump union representatives, and gas agency operators.
