New Delhi | 30 June 2026 : The Railway Protection Force (RPF) concluded its participation in the ceremonial events organized at the National Police Memorial (NPM), Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, held every Saturday and Sunday throughout June 2026. The closing ceremony was conducted on 28 June 2026 at 1845 hrs, marking the culmination of a month-long tribute to the brave police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.

The ceremony commenced with the solemn laying of floral tributes at the National Police Memorial, paying homage to the fallen heroes of the police forces. Floral tributes on behalf of the Railway Protection Force were offered by Shri A. N. Sinha, Inspector General-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Eastern Railway.

A moving rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the RPF Band added dignity and patriotic fervour to the occasion. The programme also featured an impressive Band Display, Ceremonial Parade, and Retreat Ceremony, reflecting the nation’s enduring respect, gratitude, and remembrance for its brave martyrs.

On this occasion, the family of Late Om Prakash Meena, Ex-Inspector, Railway Protection Force, Eastern Railway, was specially felicitated in recognition of his exemplary courage, devotion to duty, and supreme sacrifice in the line of service.

The ceremony witnessed the dignified participation of senior officers, RPF personnel, and family members of martyrs. The event reaffirmed the Railway Protection Force’s unwavering commitment to honouring the courage, dedication, and selfless sacrifice of police personnel who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.

The successful conclusion of the month-long ceremonial participation underscores the RPF’s deep respect for the legacy of India’s police martyrs and its continued commitment to preserving their memory through such solemn and meaningful observances.
