Faridabad: The District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting was held on Monday at the Haryana Urban Development Authority Convention Centre, Sector-12, Faridabad. The meeting was chaired by Haryana Cabinet Minister for Industries & Commerce, Environment, Forest & Wildlife, Foreign Cooperation, and Sainik & Paramilitary Welfare, Rao Narbir Singh.

During the meeting, a total of 17 grievances related to various government departments were presented before the Minister, out of which 14 complaints were resolved immediately on the spot.

Minister Rao Narbir Singh emphasized that the government is committed to providing citizens with a transparent, accountable, and sensitive administration. He directed the officials to ensure that all grievances are handled promptly and on a priority basis, with solutions that fully satisfy the complainants.

Various issues were discussed in detail during the meeting. Regarding a complaint related to disability caused by negligence of a private hospital, Minister ordered that if the complainant is not satisfied with the report of the Medical Negligence Board, a fair investigation should be conducted by PGI Rohtak to ensure just resolution.

On the issue of industrial pollution in Jharasentli village, he sternly instructed officials to present a concrete solution within one week. He made it clear that the solution should be practical and provide real relief to the complainant rather than being merely procedural.

In a case of fraud involving a plot exchange, the Minister formed a committee of senior district officials to engage with other partners of the concerned firm to ensure resolution.

Regarding the supply of potable water in Sanjay Colony, he ordered the replacement of tube well water with canal water supply and warned of strict action against any negligence.

On complaints about non-functional street lights on Gurukul Road from Anangpur Chowk to Green Valley in Sector-41, he directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure that all streetlights are made operational by September 10 to provide safe and smooth movement for citizens.

Concerning an election-related grievance from a cooperative housing society in Sector-49, the Minister informed that the election date has been fixed for August 24. After the elections, the society will be transferred to the Municipal Corporation to provide a permanent solution to the issues.

Regarding the construction of a proposed paved road from Mandhawali village to Chandpur, he instructed that the road must be constructed in a straight alignment as per measurements. Any illegal construction blocking the work should be removed through demolition squads to avoid any disruption in construction.

On the drinking water supply complaint from Nagla Jogian village, the Minister directed FMDA to complete a departmental investigation within a week and ensure uninterrupted water supply to the entire village.

With respect to the quality of a drain under construction on the Ballabgarh-Mohna road via Dayalpur, he issued special instructions that quality checks of construction materials should be done only through the PWD’s Control and Quality Testing Lab in Gurugram. He explicitly directed all departments not to get project materials tested through any private laboratories.

On complaints related to sewer lines, potable water pipelines, and interlocking tiles in Sanjay Memorial Nagar, the Minister instructed that work should begin within 30 days of tender opening and be completed within the prescribed timeframe to ensure quick benefits for residents.

Regarding a property dispute complaint, he asked the SDM Ballabgarh and ACP to conduct a joint investigation and present their report in the next meeting.

For complaints against builders in sectors 75 to 89 regarding lack of basic amenities, the Minister directed officials to submit an action taken report by August 15.

The meeting was attended by Ballabgarh MLA Mool Chand Sharma, Badhkal MLA Dhanesh Adlakha, NIT MLA Satish Fagna, Mayor Praveen Joshi, Faridabad BJP District President Pankaj Poojan Rampal, Ballabgarh BJP District President Sohan Pal Singh, Zila Parishad Chairman Vijay Lohia, Police Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh, Municipal Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, ADC Satbir Mann, Additional Municipal Commissioner Saloni Sharma, along with senior district administration officers and heads of relevant departments.
