Asian Institute of medical sciences organised cycle marathon

Faridabad, March 11,2023: Asian Institute of medical sciences organised a cycle marathon on Sunday March 10th. The marathon constituted cycling race for 10 kilometers and 21 kilometers category. There were 180 participants in the races. Chairman and Managing Director Dr. N.K. Pandey flagged off the event. Also present in the program was Director of the institute Anupam Pandey, Director international patient Neha Pandey, Dr. P. S. Ahuja director preventive health department and other staff members of the hospital,
The 21 km cycle race started at 6.30 AM from Asian hospital and returned to the same place after visiting Taj Vivanta hotel and Kant Enclave. The 10 km cycle race cycled upto Anangpur and reached hospital back. In order to provide convenience to the participants there were Nursing staff, Ambulance, Physiotherapist, water and juice counters during the route of race.

Dr. N.K. Pandey, speaking on the occasion, expressed happiness on the fact that the residents of Faridabad are quiet aware about their fitness. He said that Asian hospital would keep organizing such events to make people aware towards their fitness. He said that the hospital would be organizing a half marathon very soon in Faridabad.

The cycle race included participants ranging from 10 years age to 76 years spread over children, women, men and senior citizens. The competition was divided among two categories the first one being 10 to 40 years of age which the second category included participants from 40 years of age to 76 years of age. All the participants were awarded with t-shirt, medal, tracking chip that is used to measure time during cycling and refreshments. The men and women winning their respective events were awarded with cash prize of Rs.15,000 for standing at first position, Rs. 10,000 for the participants ending up at second position while the participants bagging the third position were awarded with Rs. 5,000/=. A rahgiri program was also organised on the occasion that included events Jumba, Bhangra etc.
