JULY 28, 2024:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of negligence after three UPSC aspirants drowned in a flooded basement of their coaching institute in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva labeled the incident as “murder.” In response, AAP MP Swati Maliwal demanded ₹1 crore in compensation for the victims’ families. The tragedy has ignited a political feud, with both parties blaming each other for safety failures.
Kedarnath Temple Gold Controversy :Ajendra Ajay, President of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, has refuted allegations by Congress of a gold scam involving the temple’s renovations. He confirmed that only 23 kg of gold and 1,000 kg of copper were used, pledging to release the jeweler’s tax invoice for transparency. This statement counters claims made on July 15 by Swami Avimukteshwaranand, who alleged that 228 kg of gold was missing. The temple management is under scrutiny as the investigation continues.
