Kidnapping case of 7 year male child swiftly resolved within a few hours by dedicated team of PS Sarai Rohilla

New Delhi , 20.12.2023– On 19.12.2023, one Shri Sunil Kumar, r/o Shastri Nagar, Delhi, came to the PS Sarai Rohilla and reported missing of his seven-year-old son. He further stated that he has received a ransom call on his mobile number, 93546617XX from mobile number 825032XXX7 to bring Rs. 3 lacs near Jhandewalan Mandir. Sensing the gravity of the situation, the location of the alleged mobile number was obtained and several teams were constituted to rescue the victim child. An extensive search of the victim and the accused was launched.

TEAM, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
A dedicated team of PS Sarai Rohilla comprising SI Kanwaljeet, HC Sandeep, HC Rambabu, HC Amit, Ct Rahul, HC Prahlad and others, under the close supervision of SHO/Sarai Rohilla and overall guidance of ACP/Sarai Rohilla, was constituted and technical assistance provided by SI Vinod Walia, (In-charge Computer Cell North District). The team laid their secret sources to get any clue about the culprit and they relentlessly worked on the case and analysed the various CCTV footage. The swift and consistent efforts of the police bore fruit and team rescued the victim, namely P, from the area of Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi and accused Shivam Pal and Deepak were also apprehended. Thus, the case was solved within a few hours of the incident and victim child was safely rescued. The mobile phones of the accused persons and the used vehicle, i.e. motorcycle Bajaj Discover bearing registration No. DL10SE3283 have been recovered at the instance of the accused persons. Subsequently, the brother-in-law of the complainant, namely Vikas, was also apprehended in this case.

ROLE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
Arrested accused Shivam Pal is known to the complainant, Sunil Kumar and his brother-in-law, Vikas. Earlier, complainant Sunil and accused Shivam Pal used to work for Zomato Company. Accused Vikas, who is the maternal uncle (mama) of the victim, hatched a plan with the accused persons, namely Shivam Pal and Deepak, to kidnap the victim, namely P in order to extort the ransom amount from the complainant Sunil Kumar. All three reached the address of the complainant and did recce. The accused, Deepak and Shivan Pal, befriended the victim, P, by offering him some eatables and then fled away along with the child on their bike. They took the child to Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi and made a ransom call to the complainant. Meanwhile, accused Vikas was keeping an eye on the whole situation and watching all the efforts of the police, being well-wisher of the child and was informing the accused persons through WhatsApp.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
1. Shivam Pal r/o Jhuggi Chuna Bhatti, Machhi market, Kirti Nagar, Delhi,age 27 years.

2. Deepak r/o Village Naraina, Delhi, Age 25 years.

3. Vikas r/o WZ Block, Inderpuri, Delhi, Age 25 Years.

CASE WORKED OUT:
• Case FIR No. 925/23, Dated: 26.12.23, u/s 364-A/34 IPC, PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi.

RECOVERY:
1. Four (4) Mobile Phones, used in offence.
2. One Motorcycle, make Bajaj Discover. (Owned by a known person of accused Shivam Pal).

Further investigation/interrogation is being done.
