Effective implementation of welfare schemes & resolution of public grievances is top priorities : Dy Commissioner

Sonipat: Neha Singh, a 2015-batch IAS officer, has assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Sonipat. After taking charge, she stated that her priority would be to ensure that welfare schemes reach every eligible individual within the stipulated timeframe, and to guarantee the swift and effective resolution of the common people’s grievances.

The Deputy Commissioner remarked that the administration’s responsibility is not limited merely to the formulation of schemes; ensuring their proper and transparent implementation is equally essential. She directed officials to work with a spirit of public service and to exercise no laxity whatsoever in resolving the problems faced by ordinary citizens. She further added that extending the benefits of welfare schemes to the “last person in the queue” constitutes the true yardstick of the administration’s success.

She noted that she had previously served as the Deputy Commissioner in Palwal and Kurukshetra, where she set an exemplary standard for administrative efficiency, transparency, and the effective implementation of public-centric initiatives. Her experience and leadership are expected to lend fresh momentum to development activities within the Sonipat district. Calling upon officials to work with a spirit of teamwork, she emphasized that the objective of the district administration is to live up to the expectations of the public. She expressed confidence that, through the coordinated efforts of all departments, Sonipat would be steered toward new heights of development. Present on this occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakshit Sareen, SDM Gohana Anjali Shrotriya, ACUT Yogesh Dilhor (IAS), SDM Sonipat Subhash Chandra, SDM Kharkhoda Dr. Nirmal Nagar, SDM Gannaur Pravesh Kadian, City Magistrate Dr. Anmol, along with other officials.
