Development Works Worth ₹4.5 Crore Launched in Rajouri Garden Area: Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa Says, “Commitment to Transform Basic Infrastructure Across Delhi”

Development works worth ₹4.5 crore launched in Khayala, Vishnu Garden and nearby areas

New Delhi, April 09, 2026:Under the leadership of Chief Minister  Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government has taken another important step towards strengthening the capital’s infrastructure. Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated development works worth ₹4.5 crore in Rajouri Garden Assembly constituency, covering Khayala, Vishnu Garden and nearby areas.

These projects include expansion of water supply lines, construction of sewage networks, development of new roads, construction of drains, Toilet Blocks and increasing greenery in parks. This initiative is a major step towards fulfilling long-pending demands of local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister  Manjinder Singh Sirsa said:
“Strengthening basic facilities across Delhi is our top priority. The neglect by previous governments over the past several years is now being addressed at a fast pace. The earlier government did no real work on infrastructure, everywhere we go, we see broken roads and poor planning. We are committed to fixing these issues at the root.”

The Minister further shared that the works include inauguration of a public toilet complex, reconstruction of roads in Khayala village, road improvement in Chokhandi area, expansion of sewage lines, and construction of a key road along with an associated drain, long demanded by local residents.

Minister added, “This year, the Delhi Government is committed in infrastructure development works. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, a provision of ₹32,000 crore has been made to give a new direction to the capital. This is just the beginning, comprehensive development across the entire Assembly constituency will be ensured.”

The Minister emphasized that developing Delhi into a “Viksit Delhi” requires new roads, better drainage systems, and expansion of green spaces in every area.

“Until every area in Delhi becomes clean, organized, and modern, the dream of ‘ViksitBharat’ and ‘ViksitDelhi’ cannot be achieved. Our government is continuously working towards this goal.”

Local residents welcomed these projects and appreciated the government’s efforts, expressing hope that these works will significantly improve the quality of life in the area.
