Delhi CM Rekha Gupta held dialogue with women ambassadors

Women ambassadors praised the steps taken by Delhi government for improvement in health and environment sector

New Delhi, May 8, 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held an interactive session today with women ambassadors from 12 countries. The dialogue focused on key issues such as cultural exchange, women empowerment, and strengthening global partnerships. The Chief Minister stated that the primary objective of this dialogue was to promote international collaboration, enhance cultural and developmental cooperation, and recognize the role of women in global diplomacy.

Women ambassadors from Seychelles, Tunisia, Norway, Rwanda, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, Cambodia, Maldives, the Netherlands, and Romania were present during the interaction. The ambassadors appreciated Delhi Government’s public welfare initiatives and expressed keen interest in promoting cultural exchange and collaboration.


During the session, the Chief Minister shared key developments in Delhi in the fields of health, education, and urban infrastructure, and emphasized the need for global cooperation in areas such as women empowerment, public transport, and digital governance. On this occasion, CM Smt. Rekha Gupta stated that today’s dialogue was significant step towards promoting women’s leadership on the global stage.

“Witnessing the impactful role of women in global diplomacy fills us with pride. Dialogues like this not only bring fresh perspectives but also help strengthen the pathway to women’s leadership,” she added.

The Chief Minister further remarked, “When women lead in international diplomacy, they promote peace and cooperation while offering a hopeful vision for future generations. The Delhi Government has always supported such leadership and is committed to creating an environment where every woman has the opportunity to lead and bring pride to the nation on the global stage.”

On this occasion, the women ambassadors appreciated several key initiatives of the Delhi Government, such as the Ayushman Bharat Yojana launched to ensure health security for economically weaker sections, the Vay Vandana Yojana introduced for senior citizens aged 70 years and above, the deployment of 400 Devi e-buses to strengthen last-mile connectivity, and the steps taken to improve the environment.
