Gorakhpur, March 27 : Gorakshapeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday afternoon celebrated the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram with all the rituals on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami. He performed the worship of Shri Ram, offered aarti and cradled the Ramlalla in a decorated cradle while praying for public welfare. On this occasion, the temple premises resonated with devotional songs dedicated to Shri Ram.


On the Navami tithi of Vasantik (Chaitra) Navratri, after completing the ritual of Kanya Pujan at Gorakhnath Temple, Chief Minister proceeded to the Ram Darbar located within the temple premises.
He worshipped the consecrated idols and performed aarti. Here, the Ramlalla had been placed in a flower-decorated cradle. As the clock struck twelve noon, he performed worship rituals of Ramlalla seated in the cradle amid Vedic chanting. After applying tilak to the deity and offering garlands, he performed aarti. Upon completion of the rituals, CM Yogi reverently cradled the Ram Lalla.

Thereafter, Chief Minister reached the stage of the open air theatre in the temple premises. Here also, he worshipped Ramlalla seated in the cradle as per rituals and gently rocked the cradle.

On the stage, he offered floral tributes to the images of Bhagwan Ram, Guru Gorakhnath, Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avaidyanath. On this occasion, Chief Minister prayed to Bhagwan Shri Ram for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
