Central Delhi Queens End Women’s DPL 2026 Campaign with 41-Run Win

Nidhi Mahto’s unbeaten 80 off 33 balls and Deeksha Sharma’s three-wicket haul help Central Delhi Queens defeat East Delhi Riders

New Delhi, September 2, 2026; Central Delhi Queens concluded their Women’s Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 campaign on a winning note, defeating East Delhi Riders by 41 runs.

Batting first, Central Delhi Queens posted 138/9 in their allotted 20 overs. While the rest of the batting line-up struggled to score freely, Nidhi Mahto produced a spectacular attacking innings, smashing an unbeaten 80 off just 33 balls.

Mahto consistently found the boundaries and held the innings together, helping the Queens post a competitive total despite regular wickets falling. For East Delhi Riders, Bharti Rawal and Vanshika Lila were the standout bowlers, taking three wickets each.

Chasing 139, East Delhi Riders endured a difficult start and were reduced to 36/4 by the ninth over. Simran Bahadur and Purva Siwach then steadied the innings, adding 46 runs for the fifth wicket to revive East Delhi’s hopes.

However, Simran was dismissed for 29 off 38 balls, putting the Riders under renewed pressure. Purva continued her resistance and remained unbeaten on 30 off 30 balls, but a lack of support from the other end prevented East Delhi from maintaining the required scoring rate.

Deeksha Sharma led the Central Delhi bowling attack with an impressive spell of 3/19 in four overs. Her disciplined bowling helped restrict East Delhi Riders and ensured a comfortable 41-run victory for the Queens.

The win provided Central Delhi Queens with a strong finish to their Women’s DPL 2026 campaign, with Mahto’s explosive batting and Sharma’s effective bowling emerging as the key performances of the match.
