This landmark concert, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, brought together the enchanting sounds of Indian classical music with a performance by the renowned Indian Sarod Quintet, led by the acclaimed maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, a living legend in the world of Indian classical music and a recipient of India’s second-highest civilian honour, the Padma Vibhushan (2001), delivered an unforgettable performance. Accompanied by his sons Amaan and Ayaan, as well as his grandsons Zohaan and Abeer, the concert was a brilliant showcase of generational talent and tradition. The ensemble’s seamless interplay of intricate melodies and soulful rhythms captivated the audience, reflecting the deep-rooted heritage and enduring appeal of the sarod in Indian culture.
