On its second day of release, the film garnered ₹1.70 crore, pushing its total domestic earnings to ₹2.85 crore. Globally, Ulajh has achieved a box office collection of ₹3.75 crore.
The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the role of Suhana Bhatia, a young IFS officer who is the only woman working at the Indian High Commission in London. The cast also includes Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, and Meiyang Chang. Ahead of its official release on August 2, Ulajh had preview screenings on July 29 in major cities including Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. These previews sold out quickly, generating significant buzz. Kapoor expressed her excitement on Instagram, thanking fans for their support and enthusiasm. Director Sudhanshu Saria detailed the production challenges, particularly the climax scene shot in Bhopal. He praised Kapoor for her dedication, noting that despite sustaining injuries from running barefoot on a rugged road, she delivered a compelling performance as Suhana.
