Mumbai, March 15, 2024– Renowned Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan underwent an angioplasty procedure at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital on Friday morning. The iconic actor was admitted to the hospital for medical intervention.

Later in the day, Bachchan was discharged from the medical facility and returned home. Security measures were notably stringent during his entry into the hospital in the early hours of the morning.

Reports indicate that the angioplasty performed was on the peripheral rather than the coronary arteries, addressing clots in his leg rather than issues related to the heart.

This recent health episode adds to Bachchan’s ongoing battle with various minor health concerns. Earlier this year, he underwent wrist surgery, and in 2020, he faced a month-long hospitalization due to COVID-19. Furthermore, in 2022, the actor encountered a second bout of the viral infection.
