New Delhi, February 25: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the outcome of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2025, paving the way for shortlisted candidates to appear for the Personality Test, the final stage of the selection process.
The written examination was conducted between November 16 and November 23, 2025. Candidates who have cleared this stage will now be called for interviews at UPSC’s office located at Dholpur House on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi.
Interview Schedule and e-Summon Letters
The Commission stated that the detailed timetable for the Personality Tests will be released shortly on its official portals — upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in. Interview call letters will be issued digitally, and no hard copies will be dispatched. Candidates must download their e-summon letters once they are uploaded. In case of difficulty, aspirants can contact UPSC through the notified helpline numbers or official email.
Requests to reschedule interview dates will generally not be accepted.
Mandatory Online Update Window
As per the examination rules, candidates shortlisted for interviews must complete an online update process within a 15-day window from the date of declaration of the written result. During this period, they are required to:
-
Confirm and upload proof of passing the required educational qualification.
-
Update details such as correspondence and permanent addresses, higher qualifications, employment history, achievements, previous service allocations (if any), marital status, parental information, and reservation-related certificates where applicable.
-
Submit cadre preferences in order of priority.
The online submission portal will remain active from February 27, 2026, to March 13, 2026 (6:00 PM). Failure to complete this process will lead to cancellation of candidature for the interview stage.
Even those who have already uploaded relevant information earlier must log in, verify their details, and submit the form to generate their interview call letter.
Reservation and Document Verification
Candidates claiming benefits under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, or Ex-servicemen categories must produce original certificates issued before the prescribed cut-off date. All documents, including proof of age and educational qualifications, will be verified at the time of the interview.
Cadre Preference and Allotment
Shortlisted aspirants will also be asked to indicate their preferred State Cadres, including their home state. Once submitted, cadre preferences cannot be altered. Final allocation will be governed by the cadre allotment policy applicable at the time of appointment.
Marks and Legal Matter
The Commission informed that individual mark sheets will be uploaded within 15 days after the final results are declared and will remain accessible for 30 days. Additionally, the result of one petitioner candidate has been withheld in compliance with an interim order issued by the Gujarat High Court in an ongoing case.
Candidates are advised to frequently monitor the UPSC website for further announcements regarding interview schedules and related updates.
