Mahendergarh : The 48th All India Accounting Conference and International Seminar will begin on October 23 at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, marking the first time the prestigious national event is being hosted in Haryana.
Organised by the Department of Commerce under the School of Business and Management Studies, in association with the South Haryana Branch of the Indian Accounting Association (IAA), the three-day event is expected to bring together academics, research scholars, accounting professionals and international researchers to discuss emerging developments in accounting and finance.
Around 800 participants from across the country have registered for the conference, with nearly 500 research papers scheduled to be presented during various technical sessions. Researchers from Canada and Oman will also participate, adding an international dimension to the deliberations.
Vice-Chancellor and Chief Patron of the conference, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, said hosting the IAA conference in Haryana for the first time was a matter of pride for both the university and the state. He expressed confidence that interactions between Indian and international researchers would offer valuable learning opportunities for students and scholars, particularly in understanding emerging technologies and policy developments in accounting.

The conference will deliberate on contemporary issues, including technology-driven innovation in accounting, the economic impact of GST 2.0, and the role of accounting and finance in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The international seminar will focus on accounting education under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, artificial intelligence-enabled learning, employment-oriented curricula, qualitative research methodologies, and stronger collaboration between industry and academia.
Organising Secretary Prof. Ashish Mathur said preparations for the conference were nearly complete. Dedicated teams have been formed to coordinate accommodation, travel and registration arrangements for participating delegates.
Conference Secretary Prof. Rajendra Prasad Meena said the event would provide a platform for meaningful discussions on emerging challenges and opportunities in accounting and finance. He added that the deliberations were expected to generate useful recommendations for policymakers and educators.
