Hemant Soren Gives Final Farewell to Mother Rupi Soren in Nemra

Ramgarh- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday bid a tearful final farewell to his mother, Rupi Soren, whose last rites were performed at the cremation ground in Nemra, her ancestral village in Ramgarh district.

The Chief Minister performed the last rites and lit the funeral pyre of his mother in accordance with traditional customs. As he performed the rituals, the atmosphere turned deeply emotional, with thousands of people gathered at the cremation ground paying their final respects.

A large crowd gathered in Nemra to have a final glimpse of Rupi Soren and pay their respects. Hundreds of villagers from nearby and distant areas, supporters, political leaders, and administrative officials joined the funeral procession and accompanied the mortal remains to the cremation ground.

The village remained immersed in grief as people gathered to bid a final farewell to Rupi Soren. Residents also recalled her life, simplicity and contribution to the family and the wider Jharkhand community.

Rupi Soren was remembered as a symbol of simplicity, sacrifice and struggle, particularly for her association with the period of the Jharkhand movement. Alongside fulfilling her family responsibilities, she was regarded as a guiding and nurturing figure within the Jharkhand community.

Her demise has been mourned as the loss of a mother and guide. Leaders from various political parties, social workers and citizens expressed their condolences to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
