Singapore’s Experience and Technological Cooperation Will Give New Momentum to Haryana’s Development Journey: Chief Minister

Singapore Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan Meets Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini; Fruitful Discussions Held on Cooperation Between the Two Countries and Various Other Issues

New Delhi- Haryana Chief Minister  Nayab Singh Saini met Singapore’s Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan on Tuesday and held detailed discussions on various dimensions of cooperation between Haryana and Singapore. The meeting covered important areas such as education, skill development, water management, urban development, technological innovation, and creating employment opportunities for youth.

Chief Minister  Nayab Singh Saini expressed his gratitude to Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan for the warm hospitality extended by the Singapore Government. He said that Singapore has gained remarkable experience in modern urban development, water management, and technological innovation, and Haryana stands to benefit significantly from this expertise.

He said that Haryana is advancing its development model in line with the rapidly changing economy and emerging technologies. In this context, cooperation with Singapore will help the state adopt modern technologies and solutions more effectively in areas such as water treatment, water conservation, and urban planning. He said that a strong partnership between the two sides would give a new direction and momentum to Haryana’s development journey.

Singapore Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan formally welcomed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and said that Singapore is committed to continuously strengthening its cooperation with India and Haryana. He particularly assured cooperation in connecting the youth of Haryana with skill development and providing them with new employment opportunities at the global level.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of skill development and education, develop modern training and employment opportunities for youth, and promote the use of new technologies in water management and urban development.

The Chief Minister said that combining the talent of Haryana’s youth with Singapore’s technological expertise could create new opportunities for the development of the state. He said that the government’s objective is to equip the youth with skills aligned with future requirements while promoting modern and sustainable development in the state.

Nayab Singh Saini expressed confidence that the growing cooperation between Haryana and Singapore would open new avenues of opportunity in the fields of education, skills, water management, urban development, and technological innovation, while providing new dimensions to the state’s modern development.
