Regional Director Hari Om Prakash stresses use of Hindi in official work to improve outreach to workers and beneficiaries

Faridabad :The conclusion of the Hindi Fortnight, which was ongoing since September 14 at the Regional Office of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment, was marked by a prize distribution ceremony honoring the winners of various competitions held during the fortnight. Officers and employees actively participated in this grand event, during which the appeal made by the Director General, ESIC, urging all official work to be transacted in Hindi, was read out to the gathered assembly.

Presiding over the function, Hari Om Prakash, Regional Director, Haryana, stated that in Haryana, a Hindi-speaking region, it is the collective duty of all staff to execute all official work in Hindi itself. He emphasized that this approach enables the organization to reach the worker standing at the last mile who lacks awareness regarding the various benefits provided by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

During the ceremony, Private Secretary Ms. Meena Verma and Assistant Ms. Manisha Kalra recited spirited poems, which were greatly appreciated by the attending personnel. Under the Hindi Fortnight, competitions for Essay Writing, Noting and Drafting, Official Language Knowledge, and Elocution were organized, and the successful participants were honored with mementos and certificates.

For the valedictory event, the entire office was decorated with floral patterns (rangoli) and garlands by the female staff, filling the atmosphere of the office with beauty and fragrance.
On this occasion, the Coordination Branch was awarded the Hindi Running Shield for demonstrating the best official Hindi implementation throughout the year.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Directors Shri Shiv Shakti Sharma, Shri Vivekanand, Shri Vivek, Smt. Poonam Bala, and Shri Brijesh Mishra, Assistant Director (Official Language), along with other officers and employees.
