New Delhi – 15 August 2026 – On 15th August 2026, to mark the 76th birthday of Comrade Shiva Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railwaymen’s Federation (AIRF) and Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU), as well as the 80th Independence Day, the Delhi Division of NRMU organized a Blood Donation Camp in the NRMU Central Office, 12 Chelmsford Road, New Delhi. The camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar Pandey General Manager, Northern Railway. along with General Secretary AIRF/NRMU Shiva Gopal Mishra ji,
On this occasion, the Additional General Manager, Northern Railway, the PCPO/NR, PCMD, Northern Railway, the DRM, Northern Railway (Delhi Division), other senior officers, donors, and the apex central and divisional leadership of the Union were present.
The day began with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the All India Railwaymen’s Federation Office, 4 State Entry Road, New Delhi, followed by another at the Northern Railway Men’s Union Office, 12 Chelmsford Road, New Delhi with national anthem was sung under the leadership of General Secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra and Central President S. K. Tyagi, in which employees from Delhi Division, Accounts Division, and Headquarters Division participated in large numbers.
Afterwards, at the NRMU Central Office, a blood donation camp was organized by NRMU in honour of General Secretary Shri Shiva Gopal Mishras’ 76th birthday, in which many people voluntarily donated blood. Alongside this, a gathering was held at the Late T. N. Bajpai Hall, 12 Chelmsford Road, Central Office of NRMU, New Delhi.
The keynote speaker, Rajesh Kumar Pandey, General Manager, Northern Railway, along with the PCP0 and all senior officers present, extended warm greetings to everyone on the 80th Independence Day and conveyed best wishes to General Secretary Shri Shiva Gopal Mishra on his 76th birthday, praying for his long life and good health.

NRMU President S. K. Tyagi, Central Vice President Praveena Singh, Central Treasurer Harpreet Singh, Divisional Secretary/Delhi Comrade Anoop Sharma, Divisional Secy/HQ Comrade Sanjeev Saini, along with others present, congratulated the General Secretary on his 76th birthday, wishing him a long and healthy life. They also extended greetings to all citizens and railway employees on the 80th Independence Day.
While addressing the gathering at the blood donation camp, the speakers emphasized that on such an occasion, there could be no greater noble act than donating blood, as it has the potential to save the lives of countless people in need.

General Secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra expressed heartfelt gratitude to all present, stating that donating blood is indeed a supreme act of charity, and that the organization regularly undertakes such noble initiatives and will continue to do so. He said, “I consider myself fortunate to be able to celebrate my 76th birthday among you, after having spent my life serving railway employees, the oppressed, and those in need.”
The meeting was also addressed by Comrade Anoop Sharma, Comrade Vikram Singh, and other colleagues. More than 75 units of blood were donated in this camp.
