New Delhi, July 6: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday conducted a comprehensive review of major infrastructure projects being implemented by the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), directing officials to accelerate execution and remove delays hindering progress.
The review meeting focused on the implementation status of several flagship initiatives, including Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), ropeway projects, intermodal transport stations and wayside amenities being developed at different locations across the country.
During the meeting, Gadkari underlined the significance of creating an integrated transport and logistics network capable of supporting India’s rapidly expanding economy. He said these infrastructure projects are expected to improve connectivity between different modes of transportation, strengthen supply chains and facilitate smoother movement of passengers and freight.

The Union Minister observed that the development of modern logistics infrastructure would play a vital role in reducing travel time, improving operational efficiency and attracting greater investment in various regions. He added that such projects would also generate employment opportunities while contributing to balanced regional growth.
Reviewing the progress of individual projects, Gadkari instructed officials and implementing agencies to identify pending issues at the earliest and ensure their swift resolution. He stressed the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders so that execution timelines are adhered to without compromising quality standards.
The Minister said the successful completion of these initiatives would significantly enhance India’s logistics capabilities by lowering transportation costs and improving the efficiency of freight movement. He also highlighted that modern commuter facilities and integrated transport hubs would provide a better travel experience for the public.
Officials informed the Minister about the current status of ongoing projects and the measures being taken to speed up implementation. Gadkari reiterated that infrastructure development remains a key pillar of the government’s long-term growth strategy and called for sustained efforts to deliver projects within the stipulated timeframe.
He said the timely completion of NHLML projects would support the government’s vision of building a developed India through modern infrastructure, stronger connectivity and a more efficient, self-reliant transport ecosystem.
