FARIDABAD, 30 JUNE: D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, under the aegis of the DAV Centre for Academic Excellence (DAVCAE), successfully hosted a three-day Capacity Building Programme for teachers of the Palwal–Rewari Cluster on 26, 27 and 29 June 2026. The programme was envisioned as a dynamic professional development initiative aimed at empowering educators with contemporary pedagogical practices, strengthening their socio-emotional competencies and enhancing technological proficiency to meet the evolving demands of 21st-century classrooms.

Designed around the principles of competency-based education, the workshop focused on equipping teachers with innovative instructional strategies, effective classroom management techniques and practical approaches to address the diverse learning needs of students. It also emphasised the shift from conventional teacher-centred instruction to experiential, inquiry-based and learner-centric pedagogies that foster critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and meaningful student engagement.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of nearly 240 teachers from schools across the Palwal–Rewari Cluster, representing a diverse range of academic disciplines – Subject Specific as well as Visual and Performing Arts including Library, Music, Art and Craft, for the Primary, Middle and Secondary levels. A noteworthy highlight of this year’s programme was the school’s pioneering initiative of organising a dedicated Capacity Building Programme for Art and Craft teachers for the first time in Faridabad.

Welcoming the participants, the School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota, highlighted the indispensable role of continuous professional learning in shaping future-ready educators. She encouraged the teachers to embrace innovation, reflective practice and collaborative learning, stressing that an inspired and empowered teacher is the cornerstone of meaningful educational transformation. The programme reflected DAV’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its endeavour to nurture a culture of continuous learning, innovation and professional growth among the educators.
