Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Pushes for Major Education Reforms Under Vision 2047

Chandigarh, June 26: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday outlined an ambitious roadmap to transform the state’s education sector under the Haryana Vision 2047 initiative, emphasizing skill-based learning, technology integration, quality improvement, and stronger educational infrastructure.

Chairing a review meeting on the education sector, the Chief Minister stressed the need to align academic programmes with industry requirements to improve students’ employability. He directed officials to strengthen skill-oriented education across Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), polytechnic colleges, and higher educational institutions while enhancing the overall quality of education.

Saini also called for significant improvements in infrastructure across government schools to ensure a better learning environment for students. To maintain educational standards and accountability, he instructed officials to constitute vigilance committees for regular monitoring of quality in educational institutions.

The Chief Minister further announced plans to launch the ‘Super-100 Plus’ programme aimed at providing additional academic support and opportunities for meritorious students.

In addition, he directed the Education Department to ensure the availability of watchmen and sanitation staff in every government school to improve campus safety, cleanliness, and overall maintenance.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to preparing students for future challenges, Saini said Haryana’s Vision 2047 places education at the centre of the state’s long-term development strategy. He emphasized that every student should have access to modern, high-quality education supported by robust infrastructure and industry-relevant skills, enabling them to compete effectively in a rapidly evolving global economy.
