Patna :A cleanliness awareness campaign was organised at Aryabhatta Knowledge University on the initiative of Patna Municipal Corporation Commissioner Yashpal Meena and under the directions of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sharad Kumar Yadav.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Rupesh, Dean and In-charge of the Economics Department, Prof. Saras, Prof. Dr. Tushar Arya, Swachhata Campaign brand ambassador and folk singer Dr. Nitu Kumari Navgeet, and singer Rajesh Keshari. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nitu Kumari Navgeet stressed the importance of participating in the Swachh Survey, stating that it raises public awareness, encourages citizen feedback for improving cleanliness, enhances city prestige through recognition, and helps prevent diseases while keeping the environment clean.

She added that the survey promotes community participation and motivates people towards cleanliness. Recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s emphasis on cleanliness, messages were shared through songs such as “Uttam Dawa Hai Safai, Bapu Ka Hai Kehna,” inspiring students to keep themselves and the city clean.

University students actively participated and joined in singing cleanliness-themed folk songs. Several faculty members and dignitaries, including Dr. Manisha Prakash, Dr. Manish Parashar, Dr. Shad Asgar, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Dr. Rajmani Prasad Sinha, Dr. H.N. Diwakar, Dr. Sachin Pandey, Prof. Angad, and others, were present during the programme.
