New Delhi– Google has launched a new digital career tool called Career Dreamer, aimed at helping people understand their strengths and explore suitable career paths. The platform is especially useful for students, young professionals, and individuals planning a career change.
Career Dreamer offers guided support to help users reflect on their work experience, identify skills, and learn more about different job roles before making career decisions.
After opening the platform and selecting Start, users are asked to share details about their current or previous job and the organisation they have worked with. The tool then asks users to choose the tasks they have handled and the skills they feel confident about.
Based on these inputs, Career Dreamer creates a Career Identity Statement, which highlights a user’s strengths, experience, and abilities. It then suggests career options that match the user’s profile.
Each recommended role comes with detailed information such as expected salary range, required education, and key focus areas needed to perform well in that job. Users can also view a “day in the life” section, which explains what a typical workday in that role may look like, along with growth opportunities.
To help users upskill, the platform links directly to Google’s AI-based learning tools, making it easier to explore relevant courses and skill-building resources.
Google describes Career Dreamer as a simple and user-friendly way to recognise transferable skills gained from life and work experiences.
The platform highlights that career journeys are rarely linear, and personal experiences often hold valuable skills that employers seek. Career Dreamer helps users uncover these strengths and explore new career directions in an engaging and approachable way.
