Dhar, 17 September 2025Prime Minister Narendra Modi  inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several major development initiatives in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, coinciding with Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Paying homage to Goddess Vagdevi and Lord Vishwakarma, the Prime Minister saluted the artisans and craftsmen whose skills power the nation’s progress. He recalled the courage of Maharaja Bhoj and the sacrifice of Maharshi Dadhichi, stressing that India’s security and dignity remain paramount. Referring to “Operation Sindoor,” he highlighted the swift response of Indian forces to terrorist threats and reaffirmed that the country will never bow to nuclear blackmail.

Marking Hyderabad Liberation Day, Modi honoured Sardar Patel’s decisive action in 1948 that integrated Hyderabad with the Indian Union. He called on citizens to dedicate every moment to strengthening the nation.

Launching the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, the Prime Minister urged women to prioritise their health. From 17 September to 2 October, over one lakh health camps across the country will offer free screenings for conditions such as anaemia, hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, cancer, and sickle cell disease. He announced that Ayushman Cards will cover further treatment expenses.

Highlighting schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, he noted that financial aid of ₹5,000 for the first child and ₹6,000 for a second daughter has already reached 4.5 crore women. Over ₹450 crore was transferred to about 15 lakh beneficiaries today alone.

Unveiling India’s largest integrated textile hub—PM MITRA Park— Modi said it will advance his 5F vision: Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign. Spread across more than 2,100 acres, the park will bring spinning, processing, designing, and exporting under one roof, cutting logistics costs and creating an estimated three lakh jobs. Investments exceeding ₹23,000 crore have already been pledged.

The Prime Minister praised the role of traditional craftsmen under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which has provided modern tools, training, and loans to over 30 lakh artisans. He reiterated his goal of making three crore women Lakhpati Didis through self-help groups, drone services, and small enterprises.

With the festive season approaching, Modi appealed to citizens to choose Indian-made products—from toys to electronics—to strengthen local industry and keep wealth within the nation.

Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and Union Minister Savitri Thakur were present at the event.
