Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann offers Prayers at Gurdwara Chhevin Patsahhi on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Purab

On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sixth Patshah

Amritsar, November 15– Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Chhevin Patsahhi on the holy occasion of Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the state and its residents.

The Chief Minister paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib and prayed to the Akal Purakh for the peace, progress and prosperity of the state. He also prayed that the bonds of communal harmony, peace and brotherhood in the state would become stronger day by day and that Punjab would lead the country in every field. The Chief Minister said that Guru Sahib Ji’s timeless teachings of ‘Kirt Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chho’ are equally relevant in today’s materialistic society.

Bhagwant Singh Maan congratulated the devotees on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purab and said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a great spiritual messenger who showed humanity the path of salvation through the philosophy of devotion and surrender to God. The Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji envisioned a casteless society free from superstitions, which led to the welfare of suffering humanity. He said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji inspired humanity towards new ideas, aims and goals and called upon it to get rid of the evils of caste-based enmity, falsehood, pretense and hypocrisy.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people to follow the path of service and humility shown by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and to make efforts to create a peaceful, happy and healthy society according to the great teachings of Guru Sahib Ji. He appealed to celebrate the holy occasion of Gurpurab with devotion and devotion, above the boundaries of caste, color, race and religion.
Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who is revered as the world’s Guru, taught the people the lesson of harmony and brotherhood through his sorrows.

The Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji strongly opposed oppression, injustice and oppression during the invasion of Mughal Emperor Babur through his teachings. Referring to the verse of Gurbani ‘Pawanu Guru, Pani Pita, Mata Dharti Mahatu’, the Chief Minister said that the great Guru Sahib Ji has given the status of Air (Wind) as Guru, Water as Father and Land (Earth) as Mother. . He said that Guru Sahib taught the people about environmental protection at a time when there was no sign of pollution. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev also raised his voice for women empowerment and equal status for women in the society.
