Compost and incense sticks will be made from flower bouquets gifted to Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij on his birthday

Chandigarh, March 16 – On the occasion of Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij’s birthday on March 15, thousands of flower bouquets gifted to him by well-wishers will be put to meaningful use by turning its into compost and incense sticks.
Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij said that, “On my birthday, people gifted me an enormous number of bouquets with love. We do not want these flowers to go to waste on the streets.c Every year, these flowers are handed over for composting and making incense sticks. A new composting machine has been installed at the Cantonment Board, and once the compost is ready, it will be used in plants, making flowers bloom and spreading more smiles among people.”
This morning, flower bouquets were handed over to employees from the Cantonment Board. The large number of bouquets filled an entire trolley, which was then taken to the composting area of the board in Ambala’s Topkhana. The flowers will now be composted to produce organic manure and incense sticks.
