Uttarakhand CM Dhami takes holy dip at Sangam

Prayagraj: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at Maha Kumbh on Sunday and termed the Mahakumbh as a confluence of faith. He said, “We are privileged the Maha Kumbh has occurred in our lifetime.”

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the grand organisation of the Maha Kumbh. Dhami also inspected the Uttarakhand Mandapam and said, “This is a great confluence of faith and crores of people of the country are taking a holy bath. We will pray to Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati that our country under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi continues to move forward on the path of prosperity and progress.” He invited everyone for the Ardh Kumbh to be held in Haridwar in 2027.

At Uttarakhand Mandapam, he met devotees from his state and they expressed satisfaction with the special facilities arraged for them at the camp.

Dhami participated in ‘Gyan Mahakumbh’ in Sector-8, Prayagwal Marg and shared his views on religious, spiritual and intellectual discussions and appreciated the event. He said, “Gyan Maha Kumbh is for promotion of education and it will give a new direction to future generation. The consciousness of the Indian knowledge tradition is being awakened among the youth through various events like educational exhibitions, seminars, student, women and Acharya conferences.
