The Impressive TimesNew Delhi , 3 September , 2024 : Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren officially inaugurated the new Jharkhand Bhawan at Connaught Place, New Delhi. This state-of-the-art building symbolizes Jharkhand’s growing presence in Delhi and offers a strategic location close to major transport hubs like metro, bus stops and railway stations as well as key amenities like hospitals. The newly constructed building on Bangla Sahib Road is a significant upgrade from the previous Jharkhand Bhawan in Vasant Vihar. Equipped with modern amenities, the new Jharkhand Bhawan has facilities like gym, dining hall, conference hall and ample parking. It also features advanced technologies like rainwater harvesting and energy efficiency, highlighting Jharkhand’s commitment to sustainability. During the inauguration, CM Soren expressed pride in the new building, saying, “This was a long-awaited project, and its completion is a proud moment for us”. He also added that the new Jharkhand Bhawan not only provides modern facilities but also is a symbol of Jharkhand’s aspirations in the national capital. Adding to the cultural significance of the event, the inauguration ceremony witnessed live performances of traditional tribal dances of Jharkhand, including Uraon, Munda, Ho and Santhali dances, which enthralled the audience and showcased the rich heritage of the state.
