New Delhi,19 June, 2024 – The ‘Lal’ of the three ‘Lals’ of Haryana has now come under the shelter of former Chief Minister and current Union Minister Manohar Lal. All of them are freely reciting poems in the glory of Manohar Lal and are blessed to have his blessings. In such a situation, it is natural for Manohar Lal’s head to be high with pride. Manohar Lal was not even in the spotlight when Chaudhary Devi Lal, Chaudhary Bansi Lal, and Chaudhary Bhajan Lal spoke about national politics , but in Todays scenarion Manohar Lal is now considered the King of Politics . But today Everyone is competing fiercely in the ‘red’ of the three reds to win their favor and prestige.”
Though all the three Lals have been associated with the BJP in the past, their experiences have been bitter and sour. Chaudhary Devi Lal formed a coalition government with the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1987. After many ups and downs, a government with such a large majority was formed and in the meantime Chaudhary Om Prakash Chautala became the Chief Minister of the state, then the Bharatiya Janata Party broke the alliance and the government went into a minority. The government eventually fell. Later, in 1996, Chaudhary Bansi Lal formed the Haryana Vikas Party and formed the government in 1997 in alliance with the BJP. In 1999, the BJP again withdrew support from the Bansi Lal government, then the government collapsed .This culminated in Chaudhary Om Prakash Chautala forming a government with the support of the BJP. Then, in 1999, he contested the elections in alliance with the BJP, and a government was formed. However, after Om Prakash Chautala withdrew support from the central government, the alliance broke down. In 2004, the INLD party contested the elections in coalition with the BSP. Subsequently, the BJP formed an alliance with Haryana Janhit Congress, led by Kuldeep Bishnoi, the son of Chaudhary Bhajan Lal.” The alliance went sour before the 2014 elections. In 2019, when the BJP was reduced to 40 seats in the Haryana Assembly, it again needed Chaudhary Devi Lal’s Lal to form the government and Dushyant Chautala’s party JJP gave its support with 10 seats and the government was formed. This alliance was also aborted from time to time. A few days ago, former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had joined the BJP. Now once again the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Lal family has entered the BJP. Like Chaudhary Devi Lal and Chaudhary Bhajan Lal’s family, Chaudhary Bansi Lal’s daughter-in-law Kiran Chaudhary and granddaughter Shruti Chaudhary have joined the BJP in the presence of BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Manohar Lal Khattar. The alliance of these three Lalos has been a sour, sweet and bitter experience, but it is to be seen how pleasant the entry of these three ‘Lal’ families into the BJP remains. One thing is certain that these Lal families, by considering Manohar Lal as the leader, have brought the fourth ‘Lal’ Manohar Lal to a big position in the red politics of Haryana. This will be put to test in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
